Alhaji Osman Masawudu, the National Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has boldly stated he will never forgive Media General TV3.
He accused TV3 of having evil plans and a diabolical agenda against the NPP.
Alhaji Osman Masawudu narrated how Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), stopped him from pushing away TV3’s microphone at the NDC headquarters.
According to Alhaji Osman Masawudu, Asiedu Nketiah told him, he was at the NDC headquarters, so he could not push away the TV3 microphone.
Speaking in an interview on Original TV, Alhaji Osman Masawudu stated, “At the NDC headquarters, I nearly pushed TV3’s microphone, but Asiedu Nketia told me this was the NDC headquarters, so I couldn’t do that. I told Asiedu Nketia we are not going to speak into the TV3 microphone.
I didn’t speak because of them. I said I won’t talk”.
“So, I told them I wouldn’t speak into the microphone, and they had to beg me. For TV3, I will never forgive them for their sins till I die,” he said.
He added, “The entire NPP has no business with TV3 unless their leaders see the sins they have committed and come to plead for forgiveness.
Currently, TV3 with these evil plans and a diabolical mind, we will not have any business with TV3”, he boldly reaffirmed.
It will be recalled that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has withdrawn from all Media General’s platforms, including TV3, 3 FM, and Onua FM.
The party’s communications director, Richard Ahiagbah, communicated through a press release issued on January 26, made this known.
According to the NPP, this follows months of supposed failed attempts to address concerns over biased and unprofessional conduct by Media General hosts and management.
Alhaji Masawudu Osman, some months ago, pushed TV3’s microphone.
He noted that Media General has been unfair to the NPP, and they should stay in their corner, and the NPP should do their own thing.
He asserted that he deliberately pushed the TV3 microphone down to signal the party’s disinterest in engaging with them.
Speaking in an interview with Kumasi-based Ashh FM, Alhaji Osman Masawudu strongly defended his actions, “It’s not the case that my hand accidentally hit the microphone to the floor. I intentionally pushed it to the floor.
I was the one who pushed it to the floor because we do not need them at our programme. The way they [Media General] have been unfair to us—they should stay in their corner and allow us to do our thing. They shouldn’t come to any of our events”, he added.
He further warned NPP part communicator not to appear on any Media General platform, “As I am talking now, if any communicator from the NPP appears on their platform, we are going to suspend that communicator.”
In another interview, Alhaji Osman Masawudu served notice to Media General’s TV3, stating the NPP as a whole has no business with TV3.
Speaking in a video sighted, Alhaji Osman Masawudu, stated, “Anytime when TV3 come to our program, we will not even allow them to put their mic, we will take their mic out because we and TV3 have no business.
The party, not me, the party as a whole, the party that has granted me the opportunity to be the National third vice chairman of the party, has no business with TV3, and I am telling you today.
Even if a communicator from the New Patriotic Party appears on a TV3 platform, that communicator has to be suspended”, he added.
