Ama Burland, a popular social media influencer, has revealed she nearly ended her life by committing suicide after fake nude images of her went viral online.
According to Ama Burland, she felt she had disappointed her mother, who had invested so much into her education.
Speaking in an interview on Headless YouTuber’s channel, Ama Burland stated, “I wanted to take my life that day when it was trending. I felt like I had disappointed her. Like, why does this have to happen to me? I didn’t want to face my mother. She had brought me to school, and this is what I had brought home”.
“I don’t think it was just about her; maybe it was also about how society would view me. That’s why I almost ended it all,” she stated.
Ama Burland further reflected on the traumatic event, stating, “I should have given my mother the benefit of the doubt that she would have listened to me.”
