Fresh evidence about the suspect, Tyler Robinson, who allegedly murdered conservative Charlie Kirk in cold blood, has been released by the authorities, according to the BBC.
Hours after the shooting, the suspect, according to the FBI as reported by the BBC, had a text conversation with his roommate — a biological male transitioning from man to woman.
When the named roommate asked Robinson why he shot Charlie Kirk, Robinson replied: “I had enough of his hatred,” and added, “Some hate can’t be negotiated out.”
According to the authorities, Robinson was in a romantic relationship with his male transgender roommate.
Meanwhile, Robinson’s mother had earlier disclosed to the police that her son had become involved in left-wing and had become a staunch advocate of gay and transgender rights. “He had become more pro-gay and trans-rights oriented,” his mother is reported to have said.
Prosecutors say Robinson left a message for his roommate: “I had the opportunity to take out Charlie Kirk and I’m going to take it.”
In addition, investigators have said that four shell casings were found alongside a rifle discovered in a wooded area near the Utah Valley University campus.
The shell casings had messages engraved on them which, prior to Robinson’s arrest, were among the only potential clues as to the killer’s motive — and have been the subject of much speculation.
One unfired round had the words “Hey fascist! Catch!” along with an up arrow, a right arrow and three down arrows — most likely a reference to the video game Helldivers 2, indicating one of the game’s special moves.
Another shell casing, authorities say, bore the words “NoTices Bulge OWO What’s This?” — a reference to a meme about furry subculture and online role-playing.
